What can we expect at VBS 2024?
Each evening we all come together for an interactive skit, dance party, and hear our big idea and theme for the night. Then our students will rotate through a variety of fun activities! Throughout each night we will learn what God's Word says about emotions. We will also see what we can do to control our emotions and how we can respond when others may be feeling these emotions too!
Monday - Anger
It's a SCIENCE day! Be ready to get messy with shirt decorating and a functioning volcano portraying an eruption of emotions!
Tuesday - Jealousy
We are going on a full campus scavenger hunt! Be ready to work together and be happy for those around us.
Wednesday - Frustration
Can you escape our "Floor Is Lava" ESCAPE ROOM?! Don't let your frustration get the best of you in this obstacle course!
Thursday - Sadness
There won't be any tears or sadness for this fun filled day, but be ready to get wet! Bring your towels because it's WATER DAY!
Friday Finale - Responding To Emotions With Kindness
Our parents and families are all invited to our final performance and dance party! Be ready for a night full of surprises! You won't want to miss it!

Our Mission Project:
Kids vs. Congregation - Project Vedea
We are so excited to announce that this year we will have a missions project for VBS! Pastor Nick took a year to pray on the decision to plant a church in Vedea, Romania, and God spoke to him in a big way! Last year we saw photos of Pastor Nick preaching out of a chicken coop, but this year we received the great news that an investor had put up $15,000 securing a building for the church's expanding congregation to continue to grow in.
Our goal is to reach $5000 to complete the purchase of the building. We encourage the children to bring their spare change each evening throughout the week of VBS. We will go head to head against each VBS group, earning prizes and rewards all week long as we count totals each night. Then we will pool our money together on Friday and challenge the congregation to match the funds we have raised!
The ultimate reward will be announced on Sunday, July 7th! You won't want to miss that!
Projects such as this are an extension of what we are teaching each Sunday. We are providing our PGC kiddos with an opportunity to spread God's Word much further than Lakehurst.
